Deputy Chief Accountant Ukraine (f/m/d)

We are currently looking for an experienced Deputy chief accountant to join our team. 


Your principal accountabilities, duties, and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee local GAAP accounting and tax accounting
  • Month-end close duties: oversee the entire closing process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, verify all reconciliation files associated with account closures.
     Implement controls and reconciliations for both accounting (Local GGAP and IFRS).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly VAT return
  • Prepare the corporate income tax return on quarterly basis
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly statutory reports: 1-OPT, 10-ZEZ, 9-ZEZ and other 
  • Prepare real estate tax return, calculation, control and payment of tax
  • Participation in automatization processes in accounting 
  • Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits
  • Liaise with bank, fill applications for financial monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the Chief Accountant and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with external auditors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated changes in accounting standards and taxation
  • Review contracts with suppliers
  • Administrate of document flow (1C, MEDOC,VCHASNO)

To thrive in this role, you should have the following skills:

  • Master´s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Experience in an international business environment.
  • Knowledge in local GAAP, IFRS, taxation and reporting processes and practices.
  • Open-minded and analytical mindset with service driven and proactive attitude.
  • Ready to take on new challenges, bring new ideas and question the existing practices to improve and harmonize processes.
  • Excellent team-working skills.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and English is a benefit
