Supply Chain Director CE

We are currently looking for an experienced Supply Chain Director for our CE region.

What will be your role?

You will have a responsibility for providing comprehensive supply chain leadership and support to operations; with a strong focus on Customer Service, Order Management Planning, Logistic and supply supplier relationship management. You will provide direction and leadership to ensure supply chain excellence to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your position will play a key leadership role in implementing and driving a sales and operations process (S&OP) that enables the Region to meet Business objectives. Additionally, your role will support and drive the ramp-up of the regional production plant and subsequent running phase.

Your Principal Accountabilities will be to

  • Directly supervise departments and activities including Customer Service, Planning, Logistics (Transport & Warehouse to ensure efficiency and industry best practices,
  • Support and drive the ramp-up of the regional production plant and subsequent running phase with a focus on sustainability, continuous improvement, and safety,
  • Be responsible for implementation of an efficient and effective S&OP process within the Region together with global SC Team,
  • Facilitate the regional S&OP process,
  • Create and foster high performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement to drive efficiency and reduce complexity,
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives as well as develop and foster a continuous improvement culture that drives projects and delivers results,
  • Maximize our ability to efficiently satisfy and exceed customer expectations and deliver outstanding value by designing and implementing an end-to-end value chain design, including customer segmentation, product and supply chain design,
  • Optimize use of the Oracle ERP system for data management and plan and schedule processes to drive decision making and best use of resources,
  • Design and implement a demand driven planning processes that support business, manufacturing and distribution strategies; and are flexible to adapt to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and cost reduction initiatives,
  • Monitor Key Sales and Operations Planning performance indicators, and coordinate cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives,
  • Establish and report on metrics to manage KPIs and drive the right behavior, and processes that deliver product availability at the lowest possible cost and working capital levels,
  • Drive innovation and focus on performance for continuing improvement of established suppliers, and development of new suppliers and processes to achieve the best quality, reliability, prices, continuity and delivery in close cooperation with Global SC Team,
  • Identify potential issues in the supply and communicate to management and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers to find and implement solutions,
  • Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes,
  • Process owner for Regional OTC process,
  • Participant on global projects and running regional SC projects,
  • Visit customers and discuss performance and efficiency programs,
  • Develop and provide Logistics solutions to Customers & Sales,
  • Be a main contact partner for Global Supply Chain Team,
  • Be a member of global SC Lead Team and CE Management Team.

To be successful in this position, you need to have Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred,
  • 10 years’ experience within supply chain, operations or logistics discipline in a consumer goods manufacturing environment, prior experience in tire manufacturing industry preferred, 
  • 10 years of experience in leadership positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain, planning and purchasing,
  • Experience in ramping up and managing production plants,
  • Strong experience in implementing S&OP process, 
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping and data analysis,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, negotiation and organization skills,
  • Strong client service and relationship building skills,
  • Fluent in English.
