Utilities Engineer

Nokian Tyres is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization dedicated to building a new factory from scratch in Oradea. We are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of our operations. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in our Maintenance department.

Responsibilities:

  • The Utilities Engineer (HVAC) is responsible for the operation of steam boilers, hot water and auxiliary facilities/equipment (heat exchangers, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, chillers, pumps, air compressors, temperature and humidity control systems, sprinkler and fire safety systems, HVAC fan systems,
  • Continuously identifies, supervises and coordinates all installation, repair and maintenance work of plant/equipment that facilitates plant utilities;
  • Develops preventive maintenance programs, schedules repair, maintenance and installation of utilities and HVAC equipment to ensure continuous manufacturing operations;
  • Develops and implements programs and procedures for equipment repair and preventive maintenance programs;
  • Collaborates closely with the maintenance storekeeper and together coordinates the purchase, supply and storage of the necessary spare parts for all technical work to be performed;
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used to troubleshoot, maintain and repair sprinkler and fire alarm systems, elevators and switchgear and electrical distribution systems;
  • Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic plans, schematics, drawings and diagrams;
  • Actively participates in the authorization process of installations/equipment subject to national regulations (ISCIR/CNCIR/RSVTI/ANRE, etc.);

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's and University Degree in Engineering, Technical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent that includes hands-on experience operating and maintaining boilers and auxiliary equipment and HVAC equipment in commercial, industrial or institutional facilities;
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools is an advantage;
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is an advantage;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, intermediate user computer skills required;
  • Medium knowledge of English language.
