Shop Floor Controller

The Shop Floor Controller at Nokian Tyres Oradea, helps with the coordination of the daily production activities carried out by members of the Production, Planning, Quality and Engineering department and is responsible for supporting production control activities, continuously adjusting production plans for different production areas, ensuring the necessary raw materials and semi-finished products for tire production.

Responsibilities:

•  Follows the delivery plan and plans existing resources for timely delivery of products;
•  Continuously follows and adjusts the production plan for different production areas and ensures that raw materials and semi-finished products are available for tire production;
• Supports the activity of inventory/counting of semi-finished products in the production line;
• Checks and ensures that the production plan of semi-finished products is in accordance with the production plan;
• Develops projects designed to improve and optimize operational planning and reduce production losses;
• Changes the information displayed on the panels on which the Kanban order cards are presented depending on the stocks identified in the production line for each code;
• Create Kanban  cards as needed and apply them on the panel dedicated to displaying these useful cards for the correct management of production activities in different production processes;
• Checks the confirmation of production of the quantity of semi-finished and finished products in the system so that the stocks of raw materials and semi-finished products are correct at all times;
• Tracks deliveries of finished products, ensuring that they are made on time;
• Monitors daily deviations and over time from the production plan and implements together with the production team the necessary corrective actions;

Skills/Qualifications:

• University degree in technical profile is an advantage;
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and proactively on various important tasks in a dynamic, multi-changeable work environment and demonstrating a professional approach at every moment;
• Knowledge of advanced use of Microsoft Office software package, including text composition, work with tabulated data, databases, electronic presentations, electronic communication and planning;
• Experience in using Oracle EBS or other production planning software;
• Medium English level ( written, spoken and understanding)
• Experience of minimum 3 years in a production team or minimum 1 year as shop floor controller in a planning department of a company in the field of automotive, electronics, plastic injection or metal processing.
