Process Engineer

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze the efficiency of existing methods for product quality control and develop new methods
  • Analyze production processes, plan and implement activities for optimization, efficiency increase, and product quality improvement
  • Cooperate with colleagues from Finland/Dayton with regard to quality and technical issues
  • Analyze information obtained from various stages of production and use that information to increase efficiency of the process
  • Participate in the launch and commissioning of new process equipment
  • Develop work instructions and other process documentation and introduce changes in technical documentation related to the adjustment of production and testing processes. Coordinate the developed documentation with impacted departments
  • Apply statistical analysis methods
  • Prepare rationalization proposals to improve the production technology
  • Form recipes and process parameters of equipment in order to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality standards
  • Responsible for all process related reports (e.g. OEE, etc.) within responsible area
  • Support Quality Engineer to resolve quality issues within responsible area as needed
  • Ensure maintenance and effective functioning of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO standards 
  • Will lead and implement process improvement activities 
  • Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement including Lean
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or physical sciences preferred and/or equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position
  • At least 2 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Lean/6 Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to apply statistics to problem solving
  • Problem solving skills required using established methodologies (e.g. 8-D, 5-WHY, Ishikawa, etc.)
  • Understands SPC analysis
