Job details:

  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure adherence to local GAAP, tax regulations, and fiscal requirements, staying abreast of any changes or updates in the regulatory landscape. Ensure the proper archiving process as per local requirement.
  • Tax and statutory reporting: Responsibility for tax and statutory reporting. Act as key contact to the external service provider, tax authorities and auditors.
  • Auditing: Participate in annual statutory and group audits and coordinate tax audits
  • Reporting and Communication: is reporting to FC team leader and is a part of Financial Control team in Nokian Tyres Finance Competence Center.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support in various initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function, implementing best practices to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to local team members and on accounting principles, procedures, and systems, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in accounting and finance roles, with a strong understanding of local GAAP, tax regulations, and fiscal requirements in Romania.
  •  Proven experience in invoice verification, asset accounting, and financial reporting within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  •  Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  •  Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Fluency in English language.
