Process Engineer

Responsibilities :

  • Improve and optimize rubber mixing processes to ensure stable quality, efficiency, and safe production.
  • Develop, update, and maintain process parameters, mixing programs, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, solve process issues, and define corrective actions.
  • Support trials, process changes, new material introductions, and equipment commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, Automation, and other stakeholders to improve process performance.
  • Train and support production teams in correct process execution, troubleshooting, and standard working methods.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and process stability.
  • Develop work instructions and other process documentation and introduce changes in technical documentation related to the adjustment of production and testing processes. Coordinate the developed documentation with impacted departments
  • Responsible for all process related reports (e.g. OEE, etc.) within responsible area
  • Ensure maintenance and effective functioning of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO standards 
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or physical sciences preferred and/or equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position
  • At least 2 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Lean/6 Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to apply statistics to problem solving
  • Problem solving skills required using established methodologies (e.g. 8-D, 5-WHY, Ishikawa, etc.)
  • Understands SPC analysis
