We’re looking for a Construction Development Engineer to be a dynamic and enthusiastic new member to our Heavy Tyres R&D team at our head office in Nokia, Finland.
Nokian Heavy Tyres is looking for what’s beyond the next generation of tyres and wheels. As part of our Tyre Construction Development team your role will be essential in developing the innovations of tomorrow. So hope you’re ready to be part of shaping the future!
You will be working in close collaboration with different functions inside R&D, but also close collaboration with other departments inside the company is part of your routine work.
Key responsibilities:
Construction development
radial and bias ply tyres
wheels and other steel constructions
Acting as a technical expert on construction related issues
Creating FE models
Developing analyse methods and models
Analysing results and failure models
Gathering and comparing results from analyses and other tests
Inventiveness and product development with our R&D team
What we expect from you:
At least of Bachelor of Engineering but Master of Science degree preferred
Knowledge of Strength of Materials or similar is necessary
Your CAE skills are on a high level (preferably Abaqus or Ansys)
Professional experience in R&D
Open-minded team player with unstoppable hunger to learn new things
Able to use Finnish and English as working language and comfortable speaking both
